Quinoa is one little versatile food. As the popularity for the grain continues to grow, it is rapidly becoming gluten free and dieting eaters’ choice of carbohydrates. If you are the few that hasn’t tried cooking with quinoa, you’ll find that it’s easy and goes with many dishes.

Many think quinoa is a grain, but it is actually a seed. Quinoa in the raw (plain quinoa, not quinoa flour or cereal) is naturally gluten free and is a great alternative to many gluten side dishes, like pasta or oatmeal.

Today’s recipe for Quinoa Porridge is very quick and if you make it in the microwave (like I do), it keeps the washing up to a minimum, which is always a good thing in my book.
